The Spacecraft SCPB connector series are based on the MIL-DTL-5015, but feature the reverse bayonet coupling of VG95234 in place of the threaded coupling. The 3-pin bayonet coupling reduces coupling time and provides easier mating when the connector is in an awkward position. Positive locking of the three stainless steel pins provides reliable resistance to vibration and shock, preventing connector un-coupling in even the most rugged applications.

All styles are available with wire sealing grommets and interfacial seals for enviromental protection. When equipped with appropriate backshells and accessories, the connectors meet the requirements of IP67.

The Spacecraft SCPB Series share the same insert arrangements, shell dimensions, contacts and electrical performance ratings of MIL-DTL-5015 and VG 95234 and are fully intermateable with the VG connectors. Contact types include solder, crimp and PCB type in both gold or silver platings. Thermocouple contacts are also available.

Depending on the application requirements, the following options are available:

• Connectors and accessories in either steel, stainless steel or marine bronze

The SCPB series are well suited for use in rugged applications where EEC compliance for electromagnetically compatibility is required. A complete range of EMI shield termination accessories are available for either overall or individual wire shields.
