Spacecraft.com (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Spacecraft Components Corp. (the “Company”).  Access to this Site is limited to authorized original equipment manufacturers, wire harness and cable assembly facilities, testing companies and consulting or engineering companies (collectively, “OEMs”), the Armed Forces, such as the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy, and government agencies, such as the CIA, FBI, FAA and NASA (collectively, the “Government”), companies who do not manufacture parts (“Dealers”) and Connector Manufacturers (collectively with the OEMs, Government and Dealers, the “Registered Users”). We recognize and respect each Registered User's privacy and have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. We want you to be fully informed about the information that we collect, why we collect it, and with whom we share it. It is our hope that after reading this notice you will understand our commitment to privacy and be confident that we will use your information responsibly.   By accessing this Site or otherwise using the Company’s services, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Our collection and use of your personally identifiable information

We collect and use information about you where we reasonably believe it will help us administer our business or provide products, services or other opportunities to you. Among other things, we use the information we learn about you to help us personalize and improve the experience you have with us, to respond to your requests and to communicate with you. The types of information we collect, retain and use include the following:

Cookies: We use "cookies" (a small piece of information stored on your web browser) to identify your computer and to enable us to remember your password, to help us identify the portions of our site that you may access and to track the portions of our site you visit. We do NOT use cookies to examine your surfing behavior before or after you leave our site. There are products commercially available that are designed to help you disable cookies, but if you choose to use them we cannot assure your ability to access our site.

Site Usage Information:  In order to obtain access to our Site, you are required to register with the Company and provide information about yourself.  In addition to the information you supply in your Registered User Application, we gather usage information while you use the Site, including your domain name, IP address, and e-mail address.  The information is aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the Site, pages viewed, and so on (“Site Usage Information”).    The Company may share with our agents, outside vendors or third parties who perform functions on our behalf (such as providing marketing or customer assistance) experiential information or other data which does not personally identify you or other users of our Site.  This Site Usage Information may be matched to your Personally Identifiable Information (as defined below).

Personally Identifiable Information:  The Company collects information when you register and has information already on file about you (“Personally Identifiable Information”).  This includes your name, address, company affiliation and credit card information.  To register, you must meet certain qualifications, must provide your name, company name, address, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, Cage Code or DUNS number and credit card information (in the case of subscribers to CIDS 1S only), and must select a logon name and password to use on the Site to obtain access to portions of the Site.  You must complete a Registered User Application and be approved by the Company before you may have access to our Site.  If you are accepted as a Registered User, your Personally Identifiable Information and your password may be linked and they will be stored on the Company’s servers in the United States or the servers of our third party providers.  If you are not accepted as a Registered User, the information you provide will not be retained by us.  You may view all information you have submitted to the Company in the “User Information” page of our Site.  If the information is not correct, please contact us by e-mail or in writing at: cids@spacecraft.com.

The company does not collect any information which reveals your racial or ethnic origin (other than your name and address which are required for registration to the site), your political opinions, religious or philisophical beliefs, trade union membership or any data concerning your health or sex life("Sensitive Information")

Credit Card Information:  If you will be subscribing to CIDS 1S and will use a credit card on our Site, we will ask you for credit card information in addition to other Personally Identifiable Information.  This will include the credit card number and expiration date, billing address and name on the account (“Credit Card Information”).  This Credit Card Information is linked to your password and Registered User Application and is used to accomplish your subscription transactions.  The Company will delete your Credit Card Information following the completion of your transaction.  Your Credit Card not be shared with any third party not affiliated with the Company without notifying you either in this Privacy Policy or otherwise.  

Access to and sharing of your personally identifiable information

Access to your information.   The company has access to your Personally Identifiable Information and the Site Usage Information that is collected. We have procedures limiting employee access to those employees who have a business reason to know such information about you. Although we will send communications to you in connection with your account and may send marketing or promotional offers on behalf of our affiliates and ourselves to you from time to time, we do not give unaffiliated third party businesses your Personally Identifiable Information except as described in our Privacy Policy. It is important for you to help protect against unauthorized access by signing off of our site each time you finish using the site and not sharing your password with others.

Sharing Personally Identifiable Information.   We do not reveal Personally Identifiable Information about you to unaffiliated third parties, unless:  (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction for you; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law, applicable regulations, court orders or subpoenas, to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements, or to protect our rights, property or safety or the rights, property or safety of our users or others (e.g., to a consumer reporting agency for fraud protection etc.); (4) the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services or assets (e.g., in the event that substantially all of our assets are acquired by another party, customer information may be one of the transferred assets); or (5) the information is provided to our agents, outside vendors or service providers to perform functions on our behalf (e.g., analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing customer service, etc.).  We will release Personally Identifiable Information, if required or permitted to do so by law, to comply with legal processes served on us or in the good-faith belief that such action is required or appropriate to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of the Company, our customers, or the public.  This includes, but is not limited to, providing information required for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

No Access to site by Minors:  This Site and the products and services provided here are not designed for use by minors and therefore we do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive any information from children.  Our terms and conditions of use require that any registration may only be made by those over the age of 18 and that any product or services purchases may only be made by those over the age of 18.  By using our services or this Site you are representing that you are an adult (at least 18 years of age).  If we have reason to believe that information is being provided by a child under the age of 18, the Company will not collect the information without parental consent or parent notification, which will include the opportunity for the parent to prevent the use of the information or to prevent the child’s participation in the activity. We recognize that protecting children’s identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.

Maintenance of your personally identifiable information

Controller Identification.   The company acts as the Data Controller for purposes of maintaining and monitoring Personally Identifiable Information, and alone or with others determines the purposes or means of processing Personally Identifiable Information. Updating your Personally Identifiable Information.   You may request that the Company correct, supplement, amend or delete any of your Personally Identifiable Information where you can demonstrate that the data is factually inaccurate, incomplete, or irrelevant to the purpose of purposes of the processing. Any decisions to correct, amend, supplement or delete the information will be implemented as quickly as reasonably possible. All requests to update Personally Identifiable Information shall be made in writing (and signed by the party requesting the change) to the company at the following address:

Retention.   The company keeps your Personally Identifiable Information until the earlier of
(i) your written request that such information be deleted, or
(ii) approximately one year after the initial submission of the Personally Identifiable Information.
All Personally Identifiable Information is destroyed by the company on an annual basis.

Security. We maintain security standards and procedures to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential information about you. Our Site uses encryption technology, digital certificates, secure commerce servers and authentication to protect your Personally Identifiable Information.  As long as the web browser you are using supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), your information will be submitted to us with a high level of security. We take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify Personally Identifiable Information if it is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or collected. While we take reasonable measures to prevent the loss or misuse of the information that you provide to us, including, but not limited to, your Personally Identifiable Information, due to factors beyond our control, we do not guarantee that your Personally Identifiable Information or any other information collected by us will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers or other third parties or from other criminal activities.

Inapplicability of Privacy Policies of any Linked Sites or Other Parties.  The Site may contain links to other sites such as affiliates, subsidiaries or other third party distributors and sales representatives.  This Privacy Policy only addresses the Company’s use and disclosure of your Personally Identifiable Information collected on our Site.  While we try to link only to sites that share our standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of linked sites, although we do encourage you to read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such parties or web sites.

While we take reasonable measures to prevent the loss or misuse of the information that you provide to us, due to factors beyond our control, we do not guarantee that your Personally Identifiable Information, Site Usage Information or any other information collected by us will be completely secure from misappropriation by hackers or other third parties or from other criminal activities.

In the event of any conflict between the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, then the Terms f Use shall control.  We reserve the right to change the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use at any time.  The use of your information is subject to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use in effect at the time of use.  The provisions contained herein supersede all previous notices or statements regarding our privacy practices.  We will post any changes to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use on our Site.  We encourage you to check the current Privacy Policy in effect by clicking on the “Privacy Policy” link on our home page.

By using our Site you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use (incorporated herein by reference) or any other agreement we have with you, will be governed by the law of the State of California.  In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, then the Terms of Use shall control.  You also agree to arbitrate such disputes and to abide by any limitation on damages contained in our Terms of Use or other agreement we have with you.
