Beginning in early 1980, the connector industry experienced a series of sales and mergers resulting in a reduced number of connector manufacturers. This trend continues today.

While the connector industry has done a magnificent job of meeting the demands of its customers, on occasion it has difficulty in supplying small quantity modifications to standard products. Quick delivery of prototype quantities appears to be a thing of the past. This is where Spacecraft Components Manufacturing comes in.

The commitment to our customers over these many years is something about which we are very proud. To meet the requirements of quick delivery for small quantities of prototype connectors, Spacecraft Components Manufacturing has its own design department, a modern machine shop and an outstanding staff whose connector knowledge is unmatched in the Industry.

The principals of Spacecraft Components include the founders of Flight Connector Corp, ESC, Inc and Electro-Sonic Components, Inc. Flight Connector developed the first front release firewall connector with a self-locking coupling nut presently being used throughout the airline industry with special emphasis on Boeing, Douglas and Airbus. We were also the founders of ESC, Inc, manufacturer of connector accessories and were responsible for developing a low profile self-locking feature for backshells used extensively throughout the connector industry. We are justly proud of our contributions to the safety of aircraft in flight.
