CIDS Newsletter

July 13, 2004 was a "red-letter" day for us as it marked the 10,000 registered CIDS
user. The CIDS program never ceases to amaze us. We have never advertised it; users
have found it by surfing the web or word of mouth.
Since the last CIDS newsletter we have added over 500,000 new part numbers,
bringing the total to over 13,000,000 records.
Although CIDS is primarily a source for a military cylindrical connector, it now contains data
on Airbus, Boeing, and Douglas connectors and accessories. Up until recently, all connectors in
the database were multi-pin cylindrical type. You will now find data on the D-Subminiature
connectors to MIL-C-24308/MIL-DTL-24308. The basic part numbers are M24308/1-** thru M24308/30-**.
Some users have registered and never used CIDS again. We assume that CIDS did
not meet their connector requirements. These users will be deleted as well as some others shown below.
